If you (or a family member) are unable to cook for yourself, have difficulty getting groceries, or both, we would be pleased to provide meal delivery. We deliver two meals mid-day, Monday through Friday.
There are no age or income restrictions or requirements. Meals are nutritionally balanced, low in salt, and are suitable for people with diabetes. We can make modifications for some allergies. Service can be ongoing or temporary.
If you’d like to receive meal service or refer a client to us, please provide the following information and click submit. Staff will call you back to confirm eligibility and get your meals started.
Important Notes for Clients:
Each weekday, our volunteers deliver two meals, one hot and one cold, between 11:45am and 1:30pm.
If you will be away for one or more days, please notify us before 10 a.m. the day (or first day) you will be out. (But we appreciate as much prior notice as possible!) Health department regulations require us to leave meals with you or another person, or you can make arrangements to drop off meals with a neighbor when you’re not home.
Our deliveries cost us $10 per delivery and we ask clients to contribute $7 per delivery (2 meals in each delivery); we bill monthly. There are limited sliding scale options available.
We deliver every Monday through Friday except holidays and snow (or other weather emergency) days.
- Holidays: we are closed New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the day after, and Christmas Day. We are open all other holidays.
- Snow days: we follow Montgomery County Public Schools. If the schools close, we also close for the day. To learn if the schools are closed, click here or check TV, radio, or the school’s website.
NOTE: While MCPS learning is remote and school buildings are closed during the pandemic, our program will make independent assessments for closure.
Please call 301-434-1922 after 8am on day of service to learn our status for that day.
